It’s autumn now and the temperatures have started to cool. That doesn’t keep me from exploring my surroundings though. Yesterday my partner and I went to the Puhoi Historic Village, settled by Bohemians back in 1863. We were looking forward to a nice traditional Devonshire Cream Tea in New Zealands oldest tea room.
Should you ever visit this place, David the owner will ask you if it is your first visit at the tea room and if you respond with a ‘yes’ he will give you a brief history lesson about the village, the settlers and his Puhoi Cottage.
A traditional Devonshire Tea consist of, yes you guessed right – your favourite tea, scones, butter, whipped cream and jam. Hmmm!
