My Favourite Theater Interior In Auckland

It’s a cold, grey and rainy winter here in Auckland. It’s a good time to visit the theaters more often and have a good hot chocolate in a nice cafe. The Auckland International Film festival just came to a close. Most of the movies were screened at the beautiful CIVIC Theater on Auckland’s Queen Street. Some years ago the city council wanted to demolish the building but the public protested with success. Since then the CIVIC has become one of the best addresses for entertainment New Zealand wide.

Happy Journeys: Devonshire Tea In New Zealands Historic Village

It’s autumn now and the temperatures have started to cool. That doesn’t keep me from exploring my surroundings though. Yesterday my partner and I went to the Puhoi Historic Village, settled by Bohemians back in 1863. We were looking forward to a nice traditional Devonshire Cream Tea in New Zealands oldest tea room.

How To Spend A Happy Day

“HOW YOU DOIN’?”

Listing three things that you were grateful for and that made you happy during the day and why, is a useful strategy to find authentic happiness suggested by Positive Psychologist Martin Seligman. Sometimes it’s hard to think about three examples of gratefulness and at other times you could fill a small book.

Fortunately I just had such a day, with ample moments of delight.
